Mediterranean policy

EU partnership from 1995 with 12 Mediterranean countries - including Palestine as represented by the PLO-led Palestinian Authority - with the aim of establishing free trade over 12 years.
Supported by MEDA.

The French government has proposed a special Meditaranian Union. This proposal is now under negotiations in the EU.
