Mediterranean policy
The "Euro-Mediterranean Partnership" or the "Barcelona Process" from 1995 are names for the special cooperation among the EU and 12 Mediterranean countries - including Palestine as represented by the Palestinian Authority - with the aim of establishing free trade over 12 years.

The French government has proposed a special Mediterranean Union.
