Community trade-marks
Trade-marks are used by companies to market and sell their products with a special design or logo, which cannot be used by competing companies.
A special EU trade-marks agency was established in 1984 in Alicante, Spain. It provides companies with a common EU trade-mark, which can be used in the entire EEA-area.
