Parliamentary inter-group fighting for more democracy and transparency in the EU. It unites members from all political groups of the European Parliament.

Daniel Hannan, a British Conservative MEP took pover as President from the Danish veteran MEP, Jens-Peter Bonde, in 2008 when Bonde left the EP.

The co-presidents are Carl Schlyter, Swedish Green, Søren Søndergaard, Danish GUE/NGL and Hannu Takkula, Finnish Center party from the liberal ALDE group.
