European Peoples Party, EPP or, in French, PPE. Part of the EPP/ED group.
The Christian Democrat cross-country party founded in 1976. Runs the biggest group in the European Parliament, called the EPP/ED Group, dedicated to further integration. ED stands for European Democrats.
The British Conservatives were aligned to the EPP Group in the European Parliament through the "ED". In July 2009 they founded a new group called European Conservatives and Reformists.
