EPP Party
European Peoples Party, EPP or, in French, PPE. Part of the EPP group. Previously the group was called EPP/ED.
The Christian Democrat cross-country party founded in 1976. Runs the biggest group in the European Parliament, called the EPP Group, dedicated to further integration.
The British Conservatives were aligned to the EPP Group in the European Parliament through the "European Democrats, ED". In July 2009 they founded a new group called European Conservatives and Reformists, ECR.
