Multi-fiber agreement, MFA

"Agreement concerning international trade with textiles"

Negotiated as a temporary exception from GATT in 1973. Regulates trade with certain textile products through quotas negotiated bilateral.

Replaced by WTO's Agreement on Textiles and Clothing from 1995, that specifies that all quotas are to be replaced before 2005.
