Bruton, John (1947 - )

Head of Commission delegation  for the EU in USA, former Irish Prime Minister. Would become a formal EU Ambassador under the Lisbon Treaty.

Represented the Irish Parliament in the Praesidium of the Convention on the future of Europe and chaired the working group on Freedom, Security and Justice.

Former Prime Minister from 1994-97, elected for Fine Gael. EPP.
