Stability Pact for South-Eastern Europe
The Pact was agreed in 1999 for the purpose of organising the EU's relations with the former Yugoslavia. It provides for individual Stabilisation and Association Agreements, which can precede possible EU membership.
The new states are financially supported by the European Agency for Reconstruction located in Thessaloniki.
