Space
The Lisbon Treaty introduces the exploration of space as a common task of the EU.
Art. 4.3 TFEU makes space a shared competence. An EU decision in the area will therefore make it illegal for member states to keep a different law.
The common European space strategy can be developed according to Art. 189 TFEU.
Space was proposed in the Constitutional Convention by its President, Giscard d`Estaing.
