Solbes Mira, Pedro (1942 - )

Former Spanish Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs. PES.

Solbes was also responsible for Eurostat; members of the European Parliament demanded his resignation from the Commission citing his responsibility for the scandal.  He was replaced during the term of office by Joaquín Almunia.
