Luxembourg has a population of 0.46 million and an area of 2,586 km². It was one of the original EEC Member States.

Luxembourg has 4 votes out of 345 in the Council and 6 seats out of 785 in the EU Parliament.

For Luxemburg, the revised Constitution also foresees 6 seats in the European Parliament  and a weight of 0.09 % (Luxemburg’s EU population) of its votes in the Council (as against 1.16 % today).
