- The Council of the European Union (Photo: www.svrez.gov.si/.../cns/news/article/2028/1687/)
The Council building in Brussels named after a Belgian classical philologist (philology: the study of languages) and humanist, who wrote a series of works designed to revive ancient Stoicism (a type of philosophy) in a form that would be compatible with Christianity.
All EU summits take place in this brown building close to the Berlaymont building of the European Commission.
