Faeroes, The
North Atlantic Islands still under Danish rule, but not part of the EU. It had a 3-year option for membership when Denmark joined the EU 1 January 1973, but decided to stay outside.
Has a free trade agreement with the EU. The Faeroes applied for membership of the EFTA on 2006.
