Brexit - British withdrawel from the European Union

23 June 2016, UK voted to "Leave" the European Union, EU. 51.9% voted to leave and 49.1% voted "Remain". Prime Minister David Cameron resigned iong the day after his defeat. The EU and the UK shall negotiate a new relationship according to article 50 TEU in the treaties. When or if the UK initiates art. 50 there are two years for negotiations. After two years Britiain can leave on her own. All EU laws are binding on the UK in the negotiating period.
