Buzek, Jerzy (1940 - )

Jerzy Buzek is a former Polish prime minister who was elected President of the European Parliament for 2 1/2 years starting  on 14 July 2009. He was succeeded by Martin Schulz in January 2012.

 
Elected MEP in 2004, following the accession of Poland to the EU. EPP.
