Polish declaration
Unilateral declaration stating that Union law shall have no impact on Polish ethical questions and family law.
Declarations are not legally binding. Unilateral declarations also reveal defeats in negotiations as no other member state would agree to their content.
The Polish declaration does not alter the obligation for all Polish authorities to respect community law, including the Charter of fundamental rights, and its judicial interpretations.
