Members representing local authorities in the EU.
At present the CoR only has an advisory function
The Lisbon Treaty permits the CoR to go to the EU Court and claim that
proposed EU regulations
are in breach of the subsidiarity principle.
The CoR consists of 353 members after Romania
and Bulgaria joined the EU on the 1 January 2007 and Croatia 1 July 2013.
