Adonnino Committee

Named after the Italian member of the European Parliament who, in 1984, headed a working group for the European Council initiating wider proposals for a "People's Europe" that would encourage people to use the EU symbols etc. so as to develop a Éuropean consciousness. Many of the proposals have been decided and implemented.
