Political Committee, POCO
A political committee composed of the political directors of the Member states' foreign offices.
Monitors the international situation in areas relevant to the Common Foreign and Security Policy. Supervises the implementation of agreed policies.
In 2000 the committee was renamed the Political and Security Committee.
