Adenauer, Konrad (1876 - 1967)

German chancellor from 1949-63 and co-founder of the EU. CDU politician who signed the original EC Treaty and the French-German Elysée Treaty in 1963. The Konrad Adenauer Foundation runs many projects in the new member states and the applicant countries using German state money.
