Schulz, Martin (1955 - )

German member of the European Parliament, elected Chairperson of the Socialist Group in the European Parliament (PES/PSE) in July 2004. Hailing from the German Social Democratic Party (SPD). Mr Schulz was born in Hehlrath, Germany, on 20 December 1955. The former Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, referred to him as "KAPO" - a guard in a concentration camp.
