CEN, CENELEC and ETSI
- CENELEC is a pan-European standards organisation concerned with electrical goods (Photo: cenelec.org)
Standards organisations serving the EU and other European nations with common standards. Standards are decided by a qualified majority according to the EU rules for the EU area.
If a standard is set-up it over-rides national laws and can only be amended through another qualified majority decision.
