Swedish Vice President in the Barroso-Commission from 2004 - 2009 with responsibility for Information and the contact to the European Parliament and constitutional affairs.
Former Commissioner for the Environment since 1999-2004. Formerly a minister in the Social Democratic Government in Sweden. S&D.
